Denmark R. Jensen, O.D.

Denmark R. Jensen, a graduate from The Ohio State College of Optometry became a full partner on August 16th, 2004. He received the 2010 Young Optometrist of the Year award presented by the Utah Optometric Association for significant service to the profession and to the visual welfare of the State of Utah. He was raised in Layton on Elm street until he was 9 years old when his father Dennis R. Jensen moved his family to Sheridan, Montana to run a family owned grocery store. Denmark since went to Ricks College for two years to receive a degree in Interpersonal Communications. He graduated from Brigham Young University in December 1999 with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology. He graduated from The Ohio State College of Optometry in June of 2004. He also served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the Copenhagen, Denmark Mission. You might wonder why he has such an unusual name. His great-great-great grandfather was the first Scandinavian born on the plains of Nebraska, so they named him Denmark after the mother country. In honor of his legacy, Dennis and Corinne named their oldest son after him. Denmark is married to Dayna M. Jensen of St. Anthony, Idaho for 12+ years. Together they have 4 sons; Isaac, Nathan, Wyatt and Luke.
